Etonnant ce choix de l'USMC pour la Win 70 qu'ils avaient rejetée au profit du M1903 dans les années 40... (voir http://www.snipercentral.com/m1903a4.htm)
Si je résume les armes officielles des armées US :
-------------------------- US Army----------------------------------- USMC
vers 1940 :---------------- ----------------------M1903-A1 + Lyman 5A / Winch. A5
--------------------------------------------------------------- (Winch. 70 refusée)
1943------------ M1903-A4 + Weaver----------- M1903-A4 + Weaver aussi
1944--------------Garand M1C et M1D
1951-----------------------------------------------------------Garand M1C
années 50------------------------------------------------ Winch. 70 + Unertl
1966----------------------------------------------------- M40 (Remington 700)
1969---------------------- XM-21
1988----------------M-24 SWS (Rem. 700)
200x ?------------------ M-110 (SR-25)
En gros, US Army et US Marine Corps utilisent les mêmes armes (sauf la Win. 70) mais ne les adoptent jamais en même temps.
